Little Angels Initiative

The Little Angels Initiative will:
- Help support the operating costs of the daycare - Provide meals, medical care, and emotional support The Little Angels Initiative supports the needs and well-being of the 46 orphans who attend Little Angels Orphanage Day Care Center. The funds go to keeping Little Angels fully operational for the orphans to whom they provide meals, educational services and emotional support to on a daily basis. |
Clean Water Project

- Supplied clean drinking water to 46 orphans
- Provided water for drip irrigation system for garden - Previous water supply was polluted and approximately 1/4 mile away - Provides clean water for cooking, cleaning and hygiene Little Angels is a local start-up day care orphanage center located in Thaba Bosiu, Lesotho. There are 46 children who attend, all of whom are orphans. Little Angels offers free pre-school as well as medical care as needed and each child receives two meals a day. There are practically no Western resources given to Little Angels because it is locally run and operated. - This project was made possible through our partnership with A Drink for Tomorrow |
BLOOM Africa

The BLOOM Africa Leadership Fund will provide the following:
- Transportation to and from the education/leadership sessions - Small snacks for those who have no food - Books and learning materials - Day long activities surrounding HIV/AIDS and gender equality. Through this fund we will create future leaders in Lesotho who will become better equipped to handle the difficulties in their communities. BLOOM Africa has partnered with the non-profit organization Help Lesotho, which is based in Ottawa, Canada. BLOOM Africa will raise funds to provide educational programming based on leadership to orphans and vulnerable children. The children will be taught at Help Lesotho’s Seotlong Community Centre in Pitseng, Lesotho. |
Laptop Education Package

BLOOM Africa funded the purchase of an education package to be used at primary schools in Ketane, Lesotho. The education package consists of:
-10 laptops -1 solar panel -Storage batteries with cable connections The laptops are used to teach children critical thinking skills as well as problem solving skills. There is also HIV/AIDS prevention programming used through the laptops, all remaining age appropriate. The solar panel is used to charge the laptops, as well as other electronic items. Any surplus of energy from the solar panels is available for sale, which provides a sustainable source of income for the village where the solar panel is installed. The implementation and operation of the education package was conducted by the non-profit organization and BLOOM Africa partner, Laptops To Lesotho. |
