BLOOM Africa Board Member Sarah Jurewicz Coaches Barefoot

On February 4, 2012, BLOOM Africa Board Member Sarah Jurewicz spent the day barefoot.  Sarah is the head coach for the Wittenberg University women's basketball team.  In partnership with Samaritan's Feet, a nonprofit that provides shoes to developing countries, Sarah coached the game barefoot to raise awareness and funds for her cause.  Sarah was able to work with Samaritan's Feet and donate half her proceeds to BLOOM Africa.  After making an initial fundraising goal of $500, she quickly surpassed it and raised well over $1,000 for her cause.  In addition to all of her fundraising success, Sarah was able to coach her team to an impressive victory.
